Friends List

Type /friendinvite name to add a name to your list of friends. There are three different ways to view this list.

1. Type /friendlist and it will show up in the ALL chat window. To delete a friend, type /frienddel name

2. Click the Messenger icon in the lower left hand corner of the chat window, select the Chat with Friends tab. You can also send a private message in a separate screen from here by double clicking on the name of any friend in the online section.

3. Press Alt+B, choose the Friends tab. You can also delete friends or send them mail from this window.

Surrender Skills

Fire is opposed to water, earth is opposed to wind. When using a surrender to X skill will at the same time give the target a resistance to the opposing element.

An example: A sorcerer and a spellsinger are partied together. If the spellsinger casts surrender to water on the mob and it lands, the sorcerer will do less damage if he uses a fire-based attack.


Tip of the day

If you are xping on IoP and get a Witch Warder spawn, run to water deep enough to swim. The Witch Warders will stop chasing you. - _Charmille_

Crafting

Put a commonly used recipe from your recipe book on a hotbar. Then, when you want to craft without standing just click that item on the hotbar. If you need to craft something different, click the "back" button on your recipe book and select a different one.


Timesaving Tip

A quantity of items may now be moved all at once by holding down the Alt key and dragging them at the same time. Try this tip when storing items in your warehouse.

Location

type /loc to find out what town you will land in when you use a scroll of escape. This is especially helpful when running from one town to the next.


Gatekeeper

Its always cheaper to take linear multiple town ports instead of choosing a direct port to a faraway destination. An example would be going from Gludin -> Giran. Instead of directly porting to Giran you will save adena by porting as follows Gludin -> Gludio -> Dion -> Giran. Utilize Soe shortcuts to save even more.


Gatekeeper fees are half-price between 8pm-12am (CDT) Monday-Friday.

Herbs

Instant effect herbs maximize the efficiency of solo hunting. Some take effect instantly and some give a buff that has a duration of 2 minutes. In hunting areas designed for parties, herbs will not drop.

An herb buff will affect both master and servitor, but the buff duration will be 60 seconds, half of the normal duration. If a servitor is not summoned, the master will receive the full buff duration.


Elixers

After using an Elixir of Life, you cannot use an Elixir of Mental Strength or another Elixir of Life for 5 minutes.

After using an Elixir or CP, you cannot use another Elixir of CP for 5 minutes.

Swimming

Click on the very edge of the shore you are trying to get to while on the opposite shore to cross the water without slowing down.


Market
Learn the market and learn to spot deals. Not just things that are cheap but things that are actually in demand.

Do NOT sell basic crafting mats to NPC vendors. They don't sell for much and you will most likely need them later. They are worth a lot more in your bank or sold to other players.

Skill use consumables

The skill-use items Phoenix Blood, Einhasad’s Holy Water, Battle Symbol, and Magic Symbol can be purchased from Trader Ralford in the Ivory Tower.

Capture Stones can be purchased from the NPC who is located on the remote island south of the Primeval Isle.


PvE
Fight mobs that cause you to rest as little as possible. If you are fighting harder mobs that give great xp you will just be resting more often.

Double right-clicking on a party member will let you assist that person by attacking the same mob.

Quest Tracker

A quest tracker has been added in CT1.5 to make it easier to check the process of a quest.

Select the quest in progress from the quest info window (Alt+U). Press the "Tracker On" button at the bottom of the window to open the tracker - this will allow you to quickly check your progress.You can register up to five quests you wish to track.


Talisman and Bracelets

The talismans and a C-grade bracelet that are sold in Giran (Jewelry Shop), Rune (Magic Shop) and Aden (Accessory Shop); are not as effective as the talismans you can obtain from a fortress

Underwear

Shirts that are C-grade and above can be exchanged via the fortress Support Unit Captain NPC or the castle Court Magician NPC for shirts with one stat bestowment option (HP, MP, or CP). A shirt's stat bestowment option will only apply when the shirt is enchanted to +4 or more


C Grade Armor

In CT1.5 you can now purchase some C-grade armor from the weapon and armor merchants in Giran, Rune, and Aden. The Luxury Shop has been changed and will now only sell mid-level C-grade weapons and armor.

Quick Tips

Clear the private message name by typing a quotation mark, then using the down arrow.

Press Alt+P to go into lower detail mode and reduce your lag.

Hold the shift key when you are trying to target a dead player, pet or mob.

If, in the middle of a quest, an NPC instructs you to train more, this means you need to level your character before you can continue with your quest.

Characters take seven days to delete. This waiting period cannot be altered.

All PlayNC Game Time Cards can be used for adding time for any NCsoft subscription. For example, you can use a City of Villains Game Time Card to add 60 days of time to your Lineage II game account.
